The PROSPECTS Foundation offers a

training sessions to
residents of Hyndburn.
Our new 'GET with PROSPECTS' programme offers a range of training opportunities, covering everything from organic food growing to solar energy



Green Team

We now aim to hold 2 volunteer working days per month; one duing the week and one at weekend to ensure that we can meet everyone's needs

Happy 10th Birthday PROSPECTS

Sunday 31st August 2008:

Baxenden Jubilee Walk, Join the Baxenden Panel on their annual Baxenden Jubilee Walk. The walk will start at the Howarth Art Gallery at 1.30 pm, returning at approximately 4.30 pm. If you would like to join the walk or would like a walk leaflet, please contact the PROSPECTS office on 01254 380675.

Friday 12th September 2008:

Arden Hall Bat Walk, Meeting at 8.30 pm at the main gates at the end of Plantation Street, you will be led by the local bat group who will also have bat detectors for walkers to use. This walk is limited to 30 people. To book a place, please contact the PROSPECTS office on 01254 380675.

Saturday 27th September 2008:

St Mary's Eco School Work Day 10.00 am - 12.00 noon. Come along and help the eco-committee carry on their good work by tidying up the vegetable garden and outdoor classroom. We might even be harvesting some of the fruit and vegetables planted by the pupils before the summer holidays. Please wear suitable clothing, sturdy shoes are reccommended. Saturday 4th October 2008:

Edge End Woodland Management, 10.00 am - 3.00 pm. Gain some woodland management skills and help the Great Harwood PROSPECTS Panel with their woodland project at Edge End Wood. We'll be pruning and felling small trees and creating natural boundaries by planting Hazel and Willow Whips around the site. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather, sturdy shoes reccommended. All tools and health and safety equipment will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch and a drink.
