Here's how you can take part!
Nature Conservation Work - habitat management including ponds, woodlands and grasslands
Expert Led Walks - Join our walks and learn about nature and discover walking trails in Hyndburn
Practical Work - improving footpaths and access points
Training - woodland management, species recognition, first aid to increase your skills, confidence and understanding of nature
During 2012 -
- Six volunteers trained in strimmer use and maintenance;
- Two volunteers trained in brushcutter use and maintenance;
- Six volunteers trained in emergency first aid.
Informal training on expert led walks took place including bat walks, food foraging, wildflower, tree and fngi identification.
